Am I an efficient teacher?

Efficiency describes how effectively a person can perform. It is not constant but varies concerning different attributes.

One of the frequent questions a teacher addresses to himself after finishing a lesson is-Was I efficient enough during the lesson? What can I do to be more competent? Helpful? Productive?

These questions conquer your thoughts and encourage you to be in search of other fruitful and versatile techniques, methods, practices to reach the efficiency you are in search of.

When asked what are some of the evidence that proves whether someone is an efficient teacher or not, the teacher of LISA learning confessed as follows.

You do not have a group to teach, but an individual.

What you are aware of is that you are molding a human being to be ready to embrace life and not a group to follow you. When you plan your lesson you think of an individual-What application or technique to use, what is the need of that student, what resources are helpful and efficient to them.

Making modifications is acceptable.

As a teacher, you should not stand firm to the curriculum just to be correct for the sake of it, but you should be flexible to modify the new material according to the progress of the class.

Do not be static, change!

The curriculum changes over time, the methods get improved, the students, themselves change as they grow regarding their knowledge. This does not give us the conditions to stay in the comfort of a single place. What should we do?
